|
Hi guys, for months I am having the following issue (the issue survived profile change, kernel changes and various world updates)
If I log in as user X and the "switch" to user Y and then "switch" back to user Xs active session I am hung up on a black screen.
Clean logging in and out works fine. I also varified that it is not a problem with a specific user. I am running 4 users and the problem occurs with any one of them.
I am not running any special settings in /etc/X11. I use nvidia proprietary drivers on a 3050 RTX.
Any ideas what could be the cause of this annoying behaviour ?
BTW I am running a current updated XFCE environment. _________________ I do not have a Superman complex, for I am God not Superman

Is the problem reproducible with the Nouveau driver? That would rule out problems specific to the nVidia proprietary driver. |

Thanks for the hint. With nouveau the issue is gone. Strange that this bug in nvidia-drivers has not been fixed in the last 6 months _________________ I do not have a Superman complex, for I am God not Superman

Nope screensavers are all disabled. Culprit seems to be nvidia-drivers.. With nouveau the issue disappears. _________________ I do not have a Superman complex, for I am God not Superman
