|
|
After my initramfs does its thing and the openrc boot process goes on for a bit, I get a black screen for a second or two, then a return to a few more lines of openrc printouts, then another black screen but this time for good.
I can ssh into the device. dmesg does not give any obvious clues: it looks the same to me as it did before the issues.
My system was working fine until 'all of a sudden' it wasn't. It may have started after updating to a new kernel.
I use a custom kernel, but I tried using the gentoo-kernel-bin and same issue.
Not sure it matters but this is the last thing I see: https://imgur.com/a/kS4tLOo |

I downgrade to 6.6.47 and the issue is gone :S |

Actually, the downgrade only 'works' because my gpu isn't supported properly by i915, so i915 fails to bind to it.
Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm not getting anywhere on the IRC or elsewhere. |
