Hello All,
I need help with configuration of mentioned audio card. After installing card to PC, kernel correctly detect card. Card appear in list of audio cards in PC:
Code: | card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC897 Analog [ALC897 Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 8: HDMI 2 [HDMI 2]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 9: HDMI 3 [HDMI 3]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: Creative [HDA Creative], device 0: CA0110-IBG Analog [CA0110-IBG Analog]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: Creative [HDA Creative], device 1: CA0110-IBG Digital [CA0110-IBG Digital]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 |
Surround 71 and surround51 are supported:
Code: | surround51:CARD=Creative,DEV=0
HDA Creative, CA0110-IBG Analog
5.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Rear and Subwoofer speakers
surround71:CARD=Creative,DEV=0
HDA Creative, CA0110-IBG Analog
7.1 Surround output to Front, Center, Side, Rear and Woofer speakers |
At the moment I can in KDE setup/select surroun51 and test all 6 speakers, which work properly, but when i start chrome browser and open some song via youtube, so it play only as soround2.1(on 3 speakers). Probably is needed something set up on playback in alsa or pipewire. |

Have you tried with pure alsa ?
Emerge alsa-utils
Quote: | Find your desired card with:
cat /proc/asound/cards
and then create /etc/asound.conf with following:
defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.ctl.card 1
|
emerge -a ffmpeg |

Hi,
i think this is normal and ok. Far as i know standard YouTube don't provide surround multichannel audio (not sure, if they support this in youtube premium).
You can test your setup with the test files from https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html
this should work. |
