Hi everyone, I just did a new fresh installation of my gentoo recently on my laptop. I am facing an issue I never had before. Even my external monitor is connected by HDMI (like before), it's not detected.

I noticed recently some changes in the linux kernel configuration (I configured it with menuconfig).

Did I forget a kernel feature maybe or a package to build ?

Emerge info:
Code:
Portage 3.0.66.1 (python 3.12.6-final-0, default/linux/amd64/23.0/hardened/selinux, gcc-14, glibc-2.40-r3, 6.11.0-gentoo-gentoo-dist x86_64)

I see you have hybrid graphics with Inte/Nvidia. Did you install the nvidia driver? I've had the same problem because my laptop's outputs are wired through the dGPU and if I disable it or don't install the driver, they don't work.

Best Regards,
Georgi

Custom kernel? If so, try with gentoo-kernel-bin.

It's an idea, but I want to stick on gentoo-sources

I didn't say use it but try it. If it works, you know the problem is in the kernel configuration.
