is done before mounting the rootfs on /mnt/gentoo. This will only create a /mnt/gentoo/efi in the temp filesystem used during installation. Shouldn't this be done only after the rootfs partition has been mounted on /mnt/gentoo as it's done later in the "Preparing for a bootloader" section in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/Base /efi is created and mounted in the rootfs. So I don't see the point in the first mkdir /mnt/gentoo/efi above?
