This occurs what ever kernel is started.
audio modules seems loaded in all cases.
live-iso plays audio fine...
I'm must say I'm quite lost how to fix, what to check...
Any idea?

rebuilding sys-apps/openrc fixed the damn thing...
No understanding whatsoever though.
