Intel VCA is the "Yo dawg!" PCIe card - It contains three 45W Xeon CPUs.
One can plug RAM as DDR4 SODIMM modules for each CPU.
Such card could be used as an interesting distcc node or as some regular compute node. Although those cards were originally meant for video transcoding.
I'd be interested if anyone here has used, or uses, these cards. How they are initialized? Do you need to push an OS into RAM for each CPU during initialization? Or do they have some kind of storage? _________________ ..: Zucca :..
