Cannot Start SDDM

Running /etc/init.d/display-manager start, with dm set to sddm, and the screen gets blinking black and white.

But if I run the same chroot with Gentoo's live cd, and start the service from the same chroot, it works.

Any idea?

Do you have systemd or OpenRC?

If OpenRC, do you have added rc-script "elogind" to your boot runlevel?

You can check with "rc-update":

Solved. I failed to add dbus to auto start.
