Something is weird: when building cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc I get this error in build.log:
Code: | /tmp/portage/cross-i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-13.3.1_p20240614/work/gcc-13-20240614/libsanitizer/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_platform_limits_posix.cpp:180:10: fatal error: crypt.h: No such file or directory
180 | #include <crypt.h>
| ^~~~~~~~~
compilation terminated.

For some reason libxcrypt never got built for the crossdev target? I wonder why I'm only seeing this for i686 however...must be something in use...?
BTW this is an emerge @world update, not a fresh crossdev run from scratch... should this still "just work"? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

I have the same problem. I think, that it started to happen after gcc version update. I was planing to wait out this problem, but I guess it won't disappear.
Did you find any workaround? |

was thinking about re-running crossdev from scratch but haven't yet. Most of the times I don't need cross-i686 and can used the amd64 compiler to build 32-bit binaries but this was a weird one that should have autoresolved imho... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

In my case it is cross-arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi/gcc-13.3.1 I do not compile arm binaries so often as well. And I was also hoping that the problem will resolve automatically too. |
