I have a thinkpad t480 dual booted with gentoo and linux mint and i've noticed that my wifi is noticeably slower on gentoo than on mint. I'm not sure why this is. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks in advance :D |

WLAN uses different (radio-) channels in different countries. To get the best result, your WLAN must know what it is allowed to do in your country. This is regulated in the file "regulatory.db". Without this file, the kernel module can only use very few channels (which is allowed in every country).
Do you have the package "net-wireless/wireless-regdb" emerged?
