|
Hey guys,
I'm setting up binary package host for my gentoo server and I want to run `emerge -ave @world` first time to ensure dependencies will always be met when building and pulling packages from binhost. Is there anything wrong with this approach to building packages?
Is it a good idea to issue `emerge --ask --verbose --emptytree @world` first time with set FEATURES="buildpkg" before e.g. `emerge nginx`, `emerge dev-db/postgresql` or should I rather make minimal gentoo base system both on the binhost and server, then compile packages gradually on the existing base system like you do when you have a working Slackware full installation and you're compiling stuff from SlackBuilds?
