|
|
I'm starting to plan a new build using a SuperMicro H12SSL motherboard and it will be in Legacy (bios) Mode instead of UEFI. This means I should be able to use Lilo as the boot loader.
As stated, I'm looking at running ZFS in RaidZ on the boot disk so that's a major cosideration as to whether the motherboard can handle that. Don't need to know how at this time as SuperMicro offers excellent support and I'll be asking them in regards to the board if it's possible. Otherwise, I'll simply use a 16GB SataDom drive as the boot disk and solve the problem. _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4

Found some info on the Slack Forums that is fairly current (02/2024) on how to do it.
Use this with your Lilo Conf though it does need V:24.2 or later
Code: | append = " root=PARTUUID=00f34709-02" |
Supposedly works and I'll be testing it with the new SuperMicro board as my Christmas Gift to myself. Here's hoping the information is good as I can then forgo dealing with Grub and it's headaches. _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4
