I used to use the system-rescue cd/usb (https://www.system-rescue.org/) to perform all my other Gentoo installs.
Then I chrooted .
I just created another system-resuce and IO don't like it.
Can the live Gentoo USD be used for installation (chroot)

Yes. I used such a USB stick myself for my last installation in 2023-05 and have only done this before:
Code: | dd if=/path/to/image.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=8192k status=progress; sync |

Thank you this helped. I was looking for isohyrid application and could not find it. I am booted into the GenrooLive USB and wow. This is epic!
I've never used Plasma. I have been using xfce4 with init/initd for quite a few years now.
I noticed the GentooLive usb uses init (rc-service). Yes!
I wonder how KDE will work on this system:
