|
|
I installed kodi by using emerge. Running a RPI5 using gbm and pulseaudio. I had set the use flag to use the system-ffmpeg but all of a sudden I couldn't use simple iptv to play streams as the unable to play error would popup. I then re-emerged and disabled system-ffmpeg and the iptv streams started working again. The problem is that other addons crash when using the bundled ffmpeg. I have two microSDDs with one that has bundled and the other with system-ffmpeg set as use flags. Bundled means I can play IPTV but other addons crash. System-ffmpeg means no simpleiptv but other addons work. I can transcode the stream link by using the system-ffmpeg so I don't know why kodi would have issues with the ffmpeg. Did I miss a flag that is needed like dbus for the system-ffmpeg.? |

Seems like your system FFMPEG might not have features your plugins need? Maybe you need to adjust the use flags on FFMPEG? |

Yes you missed some use flags, probably "network". |

Thanks for the help. Here are the use flags that were used by default. Am I missing some?
media-video/ffmpeg-6.1.1-r8::gentoo was built with the following:

Just taking a guess here but it's probably openssl x264 x265 and maybe xvid. |
