I updated to kde-apps/krdc-24.08.1-r1 and net-misc/freerdp-2.11.7. Now when I start krdc, I get "Segmentation fault". Sometimes it's instant, sometimes KRDC displays a dialog to connect to a remote machine and crashes only when I press "OK" or "Cancel".
After the world update I also got net-misc/freerdp-3.8.0 in another slot. Can this be causing problems? |

A segmentation fault is always a bug. I suggest that you follow the steps in https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Debugging to enable debug symbols on the relevant packages, then reproduce the crash and examine the backtrace when it crashes. That will tell us what library faulted, which is the first step to finding what must be fixed. |
