Configuring Logitech G502 mouse middle wheel actions

Hi,

This is a problem I've been having on Gentoo, which I didn't have on Windows. In my Logitech g502 mouse, the middle wheel, clicks as normal but also moves side to side slightly. The issue is, on Windows the side to side movements aren't registered as any other button, on Gentoo the side to side movement registers as if I'm clicking M4 or M5 which are other buttons on the mouse. I don't know if I'm being completely clear on the issue, but please ask for any more details. I am using KDE with Wayland.
