So, I'm using net-im/zoom-6.2.10.4983, and since at least the last couple versions I've had the same problem: the app can see all my audio interfaces, and they all work fine in virtually every other program (ardour, for example, is fine for voice recording), but in zoom I have no audio. No reaction to tapping the mic or pressing the "Play Test Sound" button in the app's audio settings.
I have "remove background noise" disabled, and noise-cancellation off. Here are the USE flags:
Code: | [ebuild R ] net-im/zoom-6.2.10.4983::gentoo USE="bundled-qt zoom-symlink -opencl -pulseaudio -wayland |
I'm not using pulseaudio, and never will. Starting zoom with `apulse zoom` doesn't help.
ETA: my audio interface is a Focusrite Scarlett 2 USB interface, which is not officially supported by zoom (but why would that even matter if it's going through ALSA?)
Is there anything I can do here besides complain on zoom's forum?
Cheers,
