Can't get gcc updated

I know this isn't much information but doing a normal emerge for updating the system is generating a compile error for gcc.
Let me know what command I need to run to help troubleshoot this problem.

At the very end of your emerge with the failure, it will always print something like this:

* If you need support, post the output of `emerge --info '=sys-devel/gcc'`,
* the complete build log and the output of `emerge -pqv '=sys-devel/gcc'`.
* The complete build log is located at '/var/log/portage/build/sys-devel/gcc-*.log'.
* For convenience, a symlink to the build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/gcc-*/temp/build.log'.
* The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/gcc*/temp/environment'.

Heed these, that's the data we need to begin investigating.
