Pressing any key while any game has focus freezes it forever

This originally happened to me on Osu with its official AppImage, and I thought it was Osu's problem until I tried playing Noita on Steam, and the same happened again. Has anyone had this happened to them before? I use an Nvidia card. Initially, I thought it was a problem with alt-tabbing, but that seemed to be a special case of the keyboard issue.

I have tried downgrading nvidia-drivers to 535.216.01-r1, but nothing changed.

Is there any way to debug this issue? I have checked the logs both of systemd and Xorg, but nothing notable has come up. I tried googling but no one seemed to have this specific issue.

If more information is needed, please let me know.

EDIT: I just tried running Minetest. Same issue.

EDIT 2: Disabling IBus fixed the issue.
