|
|
Hi,
I start by extracting a stage3 to /custom-dir.
Then I emerge my packages with--root=/custom-dir and it succeeded in building. However, it doesn't seem to work when unmerging with rooot=/custom-dir, as my final stage in /custom-dir contains all sorts of files from the old stage3.
Does anyone have insights as to this behaviour? |

Can you define what is "old stage3" vs "start by extracting a stage3 to /custom-dir"?
Do you mean "old stage3" files is part of that "start by extracting a stage3"? or
you mean the emerge package build bring something from outside of chroot in to the the "/custom-dir"?
Also for your "emerge --root=/custom-dir" what other emerge options you specified? Could it be that the emerge bring old binary package(s) into your /custom-dir? |

Problem was between keyboard and chair. Unmerging from a custom root works fine. Thanks for trying to help. ![Smile :)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
