Hi,
I want to install Gentoo on my beige G3.
So I used BootX and it seemed to work...
Then I worked with the installation guide.
Everything ran fine up to point 5. (creating partitions)
The installation guide says for installing on a scsi-hd to use mac-fdisk with /dev/sdx with x as letter of the hd.
I tried some letters, but everytime it said that it couldn't find the hd. So I looked in /dev and couldn't find any "sd" only "hdc" the cd-drive on the ide-port. Isn't the scsi-hd availible? I remember that sometime at the beginning the name of my harddisk and the zip-drive on the external scsi-port was written on the screen...
I also have installed a scsi-controller (Acard AEC-6712TUM) with a second hd. Is it supported? I could't read something of it (controller and hd)...
What can I do?
Sorry for my bad English...
greetings from Germany
