Hi,
on my fresh installed box I'm using audacious as audio player and had the recently the following issue:
When I click right on a song from the playlist I can choose "Open Containing Folder". Actually a file manager
like thunar or pcmanfm or you name it should came up. But instead EasyTag is opening the containing folder
which is not what I want. So I was looking at audacious preferences for choosing a different app. However there
is nothing to change this assignment in audacious.
Solution: You have to change the standard programm via your desktop environment (e. g. Xfce4). The corresponding
MIME-Type is called inode/directory.

To fix the issue where EasyTag opens instead of a file manager when selecting "Open Containing Folder" in Audacious, you need to change the default program for the inode/directory MIME type in your desktop environment (e.g., Xfce4).
To do this:
Open Xfce4 Settings Manager.
Go to Preferred Applications.
Under the Utilities tab, change the default file manager to your preferred one (e.g., Thunar or PCManFM).
This will set the correct application to open folders when selected in Audacious. |
