As logrusx says, you don't have enough connections to the headset to get 7.1 sound into it. It's really only stereo, with one speaker for each ear.
Some people will tell you that its possible to render a 7.1 audio feed into two speakers, with some clever electronics, so that it still sounds like 7.1.
Being an old retired electronics engineer, I have my doubts.
It would be like calling MP3 music. Really, MP3 is what's left when you throw the music away. :) _________________ Regards,
