I have installed media-video/aegisub-3.4.0::gentoo but for some reason, "View > Options... > Advanced > Video > Video provider" list is empty. Likewise, "View > Options... > Advanced > Audio > Audio provider" list is empty too.

As a result, importing any audio from Audio > Open Audio File... or any video from Video > Open video fails with the following error:

Quote:
None of the available audio providers recognised the selected file as containing audio data.
The following providers were tried:
PCM: RIFF PCM WAV audio provider: File is not a RIFF file
Wave64 audio provider: File is not a RIFF file

Quote:
Could not open /path/to/file.ext:
YUV4MPEG: video is not in a supported format.

I don't have this issue with arch1t3cht fork (using Feature Release 12 AppImage). It allows me to choose between several "Video providers":

- FFmpegSource
- Avisynth
- BestSource
- VapourSynth

and I can import any audio/video file just fine. I can play these audio/video files on my system just fine as well.

I guess I should at least have "FFmpegSource" available since media-libs/ffmpegsource is a dependency (and was installed on my system when emerging media-video/aegisub::gentoo ):

Code:
% qlist -Iv media-libs/ffmpegsource
media-libs/ffmpegsource-2.40-r2

emerge --info

Code:
% equery u media-video/aegisub::gentoo

+ + fftw                     : Use FFTW library for computing Fourier transforms

Any idea?

I also noticed that toolbar menu icons are missing.

I've just tried 3.4.1 on my Arch Linux install and I don't have any of these two issues.
