[Administrator note: this post, and the first response, were originally attached to the 2013 topic How to install Linux client for Steam on Gentoo?. As this question is more focused on Steam without GitHub, rather than Steam generally, I split it out. Additionally, I chose a thread title that I hoped would be appropriate, as the post originally had none. -Hu]
I tried to install Steam, too.
As the Wiki said, to get started with, I should add Steam-Overlay.
The sync-url of steam-overlay is on GitHub. By some reason, in my state I couldn't connect to it directly.
I have dual-boot with Windows, and Windows can get help from a software which could make it possible to connect GitHub.
And here is the question:
- Is it possible to install Steam in this case?
(I'm sorry if I didn't express correctly. I'm not only a Gentoo Newbie but also a English Newbie) _________________ I won't chase light if I haven't seen it.

Delta Hoshimi,
Your post on this dormant topic raised all the alarms and suspicion of spam placeholder post.
Please detail your question more accurately and how it relates to gentoo. _________________ ..: Zucca :..
