I was trying to change the keymapping from us to us-acentos. But my installation complains that it's unknown. But there is a file in /usr/share/keymaps. what am I doing wrong? It does seem like it finally loads the key mappings, so should I just ignore the warnings?

| The name of your keymap file may not match system requirements. If you load your keymap this way, please check that you are using complete and correct filenames, including a full path. If the layout loads correctly, but the exclamation marks occur anyway, you can disregard these or check whether your configuration is okay. |
