I'm trying to update a desktop install from around 2018 as a learning exercise. I've migrated the portage tree to git and worked up to February 2020. I've finally run into an issue I'm having trouble working around. The patches for dev-lang/spidermonkey-60.5.2_p0-r2 don't appear to be available anymore. The path in the ebuild file "https://dev.gentoo.org/~anarchy/mozilla/patchsets" doesn't exist. Googling for an alternate source isn't yielding any other results.
My goal right now is to finish the system update, move to a more recent profile, and then update the system to Python 3.8 so that I can update the portage and the tree to EAPI 8. Should I just try move my portage tree further in the future until I get an available version or should I try to remove spidermonkey? It looks like there are a number of blocking dependencies. |
