I am unable to configure gmail accounts in evolution. Upon entering in my credentials and completing 2-factor auth with evolution and selecting the permissions for Gnome Evolution, I get this error:
Code:
Failed to obtain access token from address “https://oauth2.googleapis.com/token”: Object does not exist at path “/org/freedesktop/secrets/collection/login”

I am running sway launched directly from the console without a greeter. I tried with gnome-keyring setup in pam.d as well as launched directly from evolution, but it doesn't change the token error.

I was able to set up all of my accounts in thunderbird, but it uses an entirely different codebase and password management.

I am removing keyring support since that message alludes to the freedesktop secret service I think, perhaps removing support for that will force the secrets into gnome-keyring, or it may be wishful thinking.

Good catch. I am not using Gnome, so I probably need to follow the bit on outside of Desktop Environments.

Genius, that fixed it.

I put this in my sway config:
Code:
exec dbus-update-activation-environment --all
exec gnome-keyring-daemon --start --components=secrets
