http://linux-lc100020.sourceforge.net/ here is a modification of linux-wlan drivers made by ZD itself and then discontinued. It does work. But I dont know how to use wlan-ng.. I've set up /etc/wlan/ files correctly, with correct ssid and IS_ADHOC=y, then when I query wlan0 to see what type of network it is up to, it's infrastructure so I force it to "independent" and it stays that way.. Then I fire up WinXP in my laptop, I setup an adhoc connection for that same ssid. What should I do now, on the gentoo box with the sweex usb card ? just ipconfig wlan0 up IP ? nothing else ? how do I see if network was found or something ... ? |
