I've been trying to find a way to use the version of top that's on the livecd.
i like the features that are included in it and have been unable to get it to work in gentoo itself.
any help would be GREATLY appreciated |

I mean, i want the same version of top that is on the livecd for my main gentoo system. with the available, active, inactive etc... memory options, the version of top on the livecd is like 0.9 or something and the version in my system is 3.xx something. is there a way to enable the options in the newer version, or am i stuck with the ooooooold version?? |

to just get it you can copy the binary... i guess it's around the /bin or /sbin...
better idea is to check WHAT you like about it, and check the man-page of the 'new' top. those features are probabely there, but not activated |
