I didn't find any mention of other WMs like fluxbox, but surely it can be configured for that. Looks pretty good. |

Maybe you take a look at fluxconf. It for sure isn't as complete as WhiteBox seems to be, but you can try yourself and see if it's useful to you.
But it shouldn't be too hard to roll an Ebuild for WhiteBox anyway:

whiteBOX does not really require any libraries, programs, etc that are not fairly common by todays standards. What you will need is:
* Gtk+ 1.2.0 (or higher)
* Gdk-pixbuf 0.9.0 (or higher)
* A working compiler

Download newest source from fluxconf homepage and compile, works great! _________________ Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends. |

FYI:
I'm trying to do the ebuild, but it's my first one, so it may take a while or never finish at all.
But so far it seems to go quite well, at the moment I try to figure out the src_install part.
Anyone having some good advice (other than reading the developer HOWTO that is) is very welcome! |

if you havent already, take a look at /usr/portage/ebuild.skel
it has all the info you need to make a decent ebuild |

Thanks, I started from that one. I'm as far as fetching and unpacking. Compiling doesn't finish yet, but I'm figuring out why slowly. But it's interessting, so I keep going |

Ok, I don't get the damn thing to compile...
It doesn't seem to be a problem with my ebuild because it also doesn't work with configure, make, make install. I'm too lazy to look any further today, but I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe anyone else wants to take a look at it to see if it's a problem with my system.
Here's the error I get
Code: |
libtool: ltconfig version `' does not match ltmain.sh version `1.3.5'
Fatal configuration error. See the libtool docs for more information.
