when my system boots, the console does not initialize with the settings i have in /boot/grub/grub.conf. i have compiled in all the neccessary kernel modules, and am pretty sure i have the correct settings in grub.conf. i can look at the screen and tell its not right, plus when i run "fbset", it tells me i am in the "640x480-60" mode. in grub.conf i specify 1024x768.
video=matrox:vesa:0x1B8,accel,mtrr,ywrap
does anyone know why i can't get a hi-res console to work?
thanks,
shon |
