Hi,
What about a new forum for all this MPlayer/Xine/Transcode/dvd::rip/XMMS/etc threads?
I think it would be nice to unblock the Desktop forum.
Any comments? |

Oh, yes, something else: what about splitting "Desktop" in "Gnome", "KDE" and "Other (Lightweight?) Desktops"?
It is quite boring for a Gnome user to browse a forum where a third of the treads are KDE related... |

Splitting up the Desktop Forum isn't that bad an idea. I could see a KDE, GNOME, and other WM split, but IMHO we have a lot of forums as is. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..

Plus:
- "Xfree", for troubles with XF86Config, opengl, fonts, etc.
- "X Apps", for applications, from openoffice to mplayer, etc. (this one would include multimedia apps also, so forget my initial proposal)

Yes, but also a lot of threads when you can't parse the forum everyday |
