Hello all,

I'm using Vmware Workstation 4.02 on Gentoo w/ gentoo-sources kernel r9 to run XP. It works great until I reboot, then when I try to launch XP in Vmware it blinks and goes back to the main Vmware screen. If I unmerge vmware, then emerge it again it will work pefectly, until I reboot, then I have the same problem again!

Any thoughts?

Are your vmware services all running in the background? I.E. did you run /etc/init.d/vmware start? Did you run rc-update add vmware default so that it all starts again after rebooting?
