|
|
I would like to have java on my pc164, but when I emerge compaq-jdk, I get:
!!! Please download jdk-1.3.1-1-linux-alpha.tgz from http://h18012.www1.hp.com/java/documentation/1.3.1/linux/docs/index.html
This would be no problem, except that - a) that page doesn't exist anymore and
b) I can't find the file anywhere else on the net either.
I am going to contact HP, but if anybody has a copy of it I could get a hold of, that would be great!

I am currently trying to install KDE on an alpha PWS.
I hate to bring this subject up again but the jdk is no longer located at the above URL. Nor can I find any references that link/work on the net for this development kit.
Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks. |

Whenever a link is broken, consider the possibility that the software has been updated, and the old versions are deprecated. Try
http://h18012.www1.hp.com/java/documentation/
As a general rule, whenever a link doesn't work, back off a folder name at a time with your backspace key until you get a working page. |

I did find this page on my own before however, it only includes precompiled binaries for OpenVMS and True64 unix.
I cannot find the source code anywhere.
