Has anyone gotten the nforce nvnet driver to compile on kernel 2.6? I get some error with headers and stuff.
I will try a clean 2.6 install soon and post the error message then.
Anyone know if the drivers are supposed to work on 2.6 or if there is a workaround ( or are drivers for nforce net maybe even included in the kernel and I didnt see them yet? ) |

you have to emerge the latest nforce-net ebuild, or put in the one from the kernel. (the one from the kernel is not officially supported by nVidia) _________________ And the day came when the risk to remain closed in a bud, became more painful than the risk it took to blossom. |

Code: |
emerge gentoo-dev-sources
|
it has the Reverse Engineered nForce ethernet driver.
it works just like the nvnet driver, but its a little slow duing bootup. (it takes a long time (4 seconds) to load ) _________________ Encrypt, lock up everything and duct tape the rest |

It is also in the alpha stage and not deemed stable for production-grade systems. Might be nice for the guy to know. _________________ "People said I should accept the world. Bullshit! I don't accept the world." -- RMS.
