lexmark z22 direct control

Hi everybody,
I want to control the movement and motor of an Lexmark Z22 printer. I've already dismembered the printer-box and have only the motor and slit. now I want to control it's movement directly to create a plotter like device.

If somebody knows how to archive this mission, pls reply to me or this thread.
