Is there any way to emerge only certain programs within KDE packages? For example, I don't use much in kdemultimedia except for KsCD, so is there a way to build just KsCD without NoAtun and all of those other programs that I don't need?
Also, since Kopete will be in kdenetwork when KDE 3.2.0 comes out, will the separate Kopete ebuild stop being maintained? I don't use anything in kdenetwork except for Kopete ... |

yeh, you just use the enviroment variable DO_NOT_COMPILE='apps here' or something along those lines (can't remember specifically). its certainly be covered on these forums before, with a list of apps in each package as well so you can remove them, so do a search. |

Yes, use DO_NOT_COMPILE until Portage gets the concept of subpackages, or if the kde.org tarballs get split up into seperate packages (like debian or mandrake) _________________ what up |
