EDIT: The problem below doesn't seem to happen with all CDs... I just tried a Tori Amos CD and the copying started without a problem. The CD that gave the error is an 'enhanced' one with trailers and stuff on it. Could this be the problem, and should I report it as a bug to the cdrdao people?
Hi,
I'm having a problem with cdrdao. I haven't used it for a while, as usual, and I came to want to copy a CD and got this:
Code: |
dan@goldfish dan $ cdrdao copy --device 0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc
Cdrdao version 1.1.7 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
Check http://cdrdao.sourceforge.net/drives.html#dt for current driver tables.
Using libscg version 'andreas-0.5-UNIXWARE_Patch'
0,0,0: LITE-ON LTR-48246S Rev: SS06
Using driver: Generic SCSI-3/MMC - Version 2.0 (options 0x0000)

I've got this in my kernel line in my menu.lst:
Code: |
kernel /boot/bzImage root=/dev/hdb7 hdc=ide-scsi
|
and dmesg | grep hdc gives:
Code: |
goldfish grub # dmesg | grep hdc
Kernel command line: root=/dev/hdb7 hdc=ide-scsi
ide_setup: hdc=ide-scsi
ide1: BM-DMA at 0xd008-0xd00f, BIOS settings: hdc:DMA, hdd:DMA

I'm afraid I'm at a bit of a loss here - this has Just Worked(tm) in the past... Any ideas?
Cheers,

Has anyone come up with a solution to this? cdrdao choked on me too with the following:
Quote: | cdrdao copy --device 0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc
Cdrdao version 1.1.7 - (C) Andreas Mueller <andreas@daneb.de>
SCSI interface library - (C) Joerg Schilling
Paranoia DAE library - (C) Monty
