I copied some mp3 files from my CD to my home directory. The names of the folders had changed from their original names to mickja~1, michae~1, and files to mickja~1.mp3 etc. This is not the original name of the files and folders. The folders and files were displayed correctly in Mandrake Linux which was running earlier on my system. How do I get my gentoo linux to display the names of the files are folders correctly?. |

Doesn't work. I had copied those files from a CD, which was readable in Mandrake Linux with the right filenames, but not in gentoo. Any ideas? |

Make sure you have joliet extension support compiled into your kernel (its in filesystems). _________________ "I think ecchi things are bad" - Mahoro, Mahoromatic
