problems with nvaudio module initialization

Hi there

Just installed gentoo; set nvaudio in /etc/modules.autoload and when gentoo boots "Cannot load module 'nvaudio.'

So, i try modprobing and it gives me the following message:

/lib/modules/2.4.22-gentoo-r2/kernel/kernel/drivers/audio/nvaudio.o: unresolved symbol Ac97_probe_codecREDf326e

there are alot more lines like this, but because im using links2, its a bit hard to type it all in!

if any one has any ideas how i can resolve this problem, please help!
