|
|
i have xmms properly installed and i was trying to play one of my CDs, but it won't output the sound to my speakers. i thought maybe my soundcard was bad, but when i installed xcdroast the sound test on /dev/dsp works just fine so the driver seems to be working well. since xmms OSS driver defaults to /dev/sound/dsp, i thought that was the problem, but even when i changed it to /dev/dsp it didn't work. i'm using the CMI-8738 driver in the kernel. any help would be appreciated.

Mhhh, do you have a audio-cable from the drive to your soundcard? Or are you able to play it with other players? |
