Hi everyone!
My current situation is this:
2 screens (TFT), both rotated (pivot), in xinerama-mode.
Each has its own video-card, a AGP TNT2 and a PCI-Matrox-Mill.2.
For better picture-quality i would like to use (a) DVI-video-card(s).
If im not mistaken, there a 3 possibilities:
1) a NVidia-dual-dvi card
2) 2 new seperate Videocards (agp+pci) which have dvi
3) a Matrox dualhead card
1) does not work! A NVidia-dual-dvi card would force me to use the NVidia-driver to get the twinview-functionality. But NVidia does not support XFree's Rotation (pivot).
2) this should work... i guess at least matrox should have some PCI-Cards with DVI.
Oh wait... Matrox ... DVI .... sounds like trouble.
3) hmm.. a single matrox-card uses the mga-driver and can be rotated. a dualhead matrox-card uses the mga-driver as well .. and should be able to be rotated too ???
im open for suggestions :=)
greetings,
