must re-emerge module-init-tools after kernel upgrades

I keep having to re-emerge module-init-tools when I switch to a new (2.6-based) kernel, otherwise I get that annoying QM_MODULES error which prevents you from loading modules.

Anybody else experiencing this? Anybody know how to stop it?

Sorry, I haven't emerged module-init-tools since late 2.5.x kernels and everything is still working without problems. I've never seen a QM_MODULES error.
