Well I'm waiting on my DSL modem and Gentoo CDs, now that I DSL invest in webcam//
after googling I discover the Logitech quickcam 3000/4000
it also mentioned somting about a pwc module in the kernel
where is it I also don't have usb2 just 1.1, that a problem? |

The Logitech quickcam 3000/4000 uses a Phillips chipset.
The kernel driver module is under USB Support, USB Phillips Cameras. To get the best resolutions you will need the pwcx.o binary module too.
You will also need to enable Video For Linux in the kernel.
