|
|
My tab sessions aren't being saved and I'm not sure why... I have the tabbrowser extentions installed and have the "Restore tab session instead..." option checked in the Startup options.
anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?
Thanks |

Try to start firebird from the console (MozillaFirebird is the bin-name) and see whether there is any "permission denied" output. Maybe he cannot save the session because of some permission problems... that's just a wild guess. _________________ if only I could fill my heart with love... |

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're asking for, but if you go to tools > options > general you can put multiple sites for the home page location(s) like this Code: | http://www.futuremark.com/community/|http://forums.gentoo.org/|http://slashdot.org/ |
just put | between the URLs. All the pages should open up on seperate tabs whenever you start firebird. _________________ "we should make it a law that all geeks have dates" - Linus |

ahh that's neat -- not what I needed, but very cool none-the-less.
What my problem is that when I have a tab session open ... let's say I have tabs to google.com, forums.gentoo.org, freshmeat.net and then I open a tab to php.net.
When I close firebird, and then reopen it I will only get one tab, php.net (the latest tab I opened to). I want it to open to the tab session I left off with -> google.com, forums.gentoo.org, etc. |

I have this exact same problem. If I can get that working right, I will switch from Opera to Firebird. I like the way text looks and the not-shareware-ness of Firebird better than Opera, but right now, this is killing me. |

It doesn't work for me either, but it has when I've used Firebird in Windows. So I guess it's some kind of issue with the extension and the Linux version of the browser. _________________ Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane.

aha! I fixed it. The tabbrowser extensions are crap for me. They provide all kinds of unnecessary options and stuff and doesn't work anyway.
Solution:
Get the extension called "session saver". Enable that one and disable the tabbrowser extensions. It works flawlessly. |

What's the problem with the tab-browser stuff? I have installed it and it runs without problems. |

Well it's only the automatic session restore function that doesn't work for me. The rest of the tabbrowser extensions are absolutely essential AFAIC. I wouldn't be using mozilla at all without them. I don't want my browser to open other windows -- ever.
So except for the one thing the tabbrowser extensions are fantastic for me! _________________ Sometimes the appropriate response to reality is to go insane.
