Hi,
I have read on WinBeta.org that Microsoft is planing on patenting several .Net APIs. This action in turn would make third party tools illegal such as Mono, if I am not mistaken. Well, I have a few questions about it considering all that and much more. Would it be wise to install Mono on Gentoo, if so is there any guide on how to? What would the ASP.Net mod do to security? Could I get by without installing a xServer?
Thanks, WWJD? |

I don't know about the rest but I might actually a bit surprised if MS tries to kill mono because now the can sell apps for linux with out officially supporting it
and as for installing it
# emerge mono
works fine for me
i have c# and vb .net working fine
dont know about the rest though |
