Hi Guy's
Has anyone got E17 to compile nice under GENTOO , I know it's not really a Gentoo forum prob at the moment since the cvs build isnt even supported by enlightenment yet but , I 'm quite keen to have a look , I have tried compiling multiple times but every tiime it seems to have problems referencing it's own libs etc .....even when following the compiling sequence to the T.............sorry dont have any errors to post as I got pissed off and deleted the dir, and decided to carry on getting e16.* ebuild looking pretty......
Cheers

I was able to compile everything from cvs. Only problem is e segfaults right away as well as ebony, etcher. Evas and the other tools work fine though. Not sure what I'm missing. I compiled the recommended build tools and used --prefix=/usr for the build tools and e17. |

e17 is pretty stable, their is something wrong with the build process on gentoo. we will have to wait for someone to figure it out and put out a good ebuild. |

Ok ive got to compiling Estyle so far Ive emerged everything I could as per another post I saw in the forums here and sofar has worked nice but I get an error but ive now got the error which lannie got in another post....
"4) sumtimes u will encounter something like "libefd.la" is not a valid libtool archive... to remedy that. all i did was just to copy the libefd.la from the "src" directory from the corresponding thing.. (like efd for example) and it shall happly (hopefully..) compile..
"
I havent quite worked out where from/to ????? It appears im missing estyle.lo ......
