Internal Modem Troubles!!HELP!!

Hey all,
I just installed gentoo linux on a gateway solo laptop with KDE. But whatever I do I cant get the damned internal modem to work.....Any suggestions????? Many thanks in advance!

What type of modem is it? If its a connexant soft or controllerless modem then www.linuxant.com is your only bet.

Still its a good investment, i got the driver for my lappy, and its only about 15 USD. Considering linuxant get no money from connexant for this driver dev i have no problems supporting them

They have a trial version (14.4K capped) for testing purposes
