Hi folks,
I followed some discussion about mp3 players, but I couldn't find out for all models, which use regular notebook hdds.
The thing is, I've got a spare 40GB 9,5 mm harddrive, which I would like to use with a mp3 player.
I found some models by googling around that are sold without a hdd (MamboX Jukebox P3530, MP3 NEO 25IV JUKEBOX, Q -Sonic USB 2.0 MP3-Harddisk-Player) but they seem kind of bulky to me.
Does anyone of you know which harddrives are to be found in the nicer jukeboxes, like
Creative Jukebox Zen, the new Philips or the iRiver iHPs?
I don't care so much for all the multimedia capabilities as I can watch movies on the Zaurus, but I would like to have a slim storage device that could play mp3s a has a long battery life.
Thanks for your advice,
sorry, I know, it's not a gentoo related question...

Hey there...
I just bought the Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen with 40GB storage.....
darn, i dunno why i thought it would be horrible....ITS THE BEST !!...i like it more than the iPod....well, the thing is this....you'll get a 40GB ( org 60 if you want to spend 300 dlls ) ...and u can uplad all the files...wich is great...if you have an USB2....cuz if you have an USB1 you'll have to buy a PCI card with -USB2....like me, for examble......
well, it works great, long battery life and the most important...you can replace it...if you iPods batter dies, you have to get it to a MAC center and they will charge u a lot of $$$.....so try this one, its great.....and as an mp3 player its very nice.....
take a look at this
